Probation Works

October 3, 2017

Have you ever wondered what the Irish Probation Service does?

If so, take a look through the series of informative videos below that have been published over the last several weeks as part of the Probation Works campaign by the Probation Service.

The Probation Service works to positively impact our communities by working with offenders to change their behaviour and reach their potential. The Probation Service fully believes that these individuals have the capacity to change.

The Matt Talbot Community Trust aims to support this work by linking in with individuals who have been involved in the criminal justice system and supporting them on their educational and employment journeys.

At its core, our work aims to:

– promote independence, integration and progression in the lives of our participants.

– encourage the participant and all members of our community to re-imagine their role within their         environment and to become positive contributors to family, community and social stability.

– build awareness of the issues facing our target group and build the capacity of services to respond.
